Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC). The WIC program provides grants to states for supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non–breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five who are found to be at nutritional risk.

| ARRA Reporting |
MIS funds require an application and an Advanced Planning Document. USDA monitors expenditures and performance via monthly grant reporting, in addition to ARRA Section 1512 reporting requirements. Reporting requirements for the $400 million for caseload support have not been set; however, these monies must be tracked separately.
